What Was
HighRock Youth Ministries got up and running in 1996, thanks
to a group of local youth pastors. They were spending time together building
their own 
little community as friends and wanted to get their youth involved
in the fun.
These guys believed Jesus was the best friend a teenager could have and they wanted all young people to know that. They also believed that church stuff could be fun, so they started having monthly get-togethers where they could prove that to be so.
When community people found out that good stuff was happening with all these teens they started asking the youth pastors to help them with other projects for youth. But being locked into busy schedules already, the local youth pastors decided it was time to hire someone to help with this new thing, called HighRock. So HR got a Director.
But while the organization had grown, the purpose of HR stayed the same: living out the love of Jesus in a way that would make a difference in the lives of the teens they work with.
