What We Do
There are lots of potholes on this road called ‘life’. At HighRock Youth Ministries we try to find the big ones that a teen might fall into, then fill the hole. It’s important to realize that we can’t fill all the holes; but by teaming with others in our community we do the best we can to fill the big ones!
Life Uncensored
We created this program to help youth address risk factors in their lives by
using art – stories, poetry, photography and drawing. (Teens are deep
thinkers, with good stuff to share!) We are proud of this group's achievements,
so every three months we collect their best work and publish it for the community
to enjoy.
Extreme Talk
It’s
just not true that teens always make bad choices! And often when they do it
is because they were given bad information – either wrong or incomplete.
Our days of ET in the junior high schools are specifically geared to give teens
accurate information about things that affect their world so that they can make
wise, informed choices about their lives.
Deeper
This is a once a year opportunity for teens to deepen their spirituality and
connect with the ultimate power source – Jesus!
Community Work
We know we are only a piece of the puzzle when it comes to youth work in Truro,
