What Will Be
Well, truth is, nobody knows the future for sure.
We’ve recently been given full run of the main floor of our building to use for youth / community programming. There has been some talk of drop–in / hang out times,
coffee houses, etc. While we’ve already started to use the space for our monthly rallies, the Director and the Programming Committee are working to put in place some great programs and activities to be enjoyed by even more young people. We’re not sure what our programs will look like just yet, but you can be sure that they will be great!
We’re also involved with a group who’s looking at the homeless issue here in Truro. Yeah, it’s really true, that in our fine town teens sometime sleep on the street or in the park. And not because they want to – but because they have no where else to go. That just seems wrong!
HighRock plans to stay involved as the working group looks for ways to help these youth. And who knows what opportunities that might bring our way?
HighRock is always looking for new ways to get involved in community work and to start new projects for teens. So keep your eyes open! You never know where we might show up next.
